Verification method, engineered for scale.
Compare measured energy with an independent expected-energy model. Standards-aligned, portfolio-ready.
Core evaluation outputs
Short list of standardized indicators used across time windows.
Measured / expected energy ratio, reported on consistent windows.
(M − E) / E tracked monthly, seasonal, annual.
Comparable indicator across systems and portfolios.
All-in and in-service indicators where data allows (IEC 61724-3 terminology).
The method in 8 structured steps
Each step remains consistent across the evaluation window.
AC output boundary. Measured energy from revenue-grade meters at POI or inverter AC output. Boundary remains consistent.
System-specific model with stable parameters. Capacity, tilt, degradation, loss assumptions.
Validated satellite irradiance data. Recognized in IEC 61724-1 for monthly to yearly averaging. Monthly and annual windows ensure stable verification.
Time alignment. Completeness validation. Consistent aggregation.
PI = Measured Energy / Expected Energy PI ≈ 1 → aligned with model PI < 1 → underperformance
Monthly operational baseline. Seasonal / annual long-term evaluation.
Separate all-in vs in-service where data allows. Aligned with IEC 61724-3 terminology.
Same framework across residential, commercial, and utility-scale assets.
Scope of alignment
Sunreport implements energy evaluation methodologies aligned with IEC 61724-3 and consistent with IEC 61724-1 performance principles.
The platform does not provide IEC Class A/B/C certified on-site monitoring systems requiring dedicated irradiance and temperature sensors. It provides infrastructure-light performance verification suitable for distributed assets and portfolio-scale oversight.
